The heroes rush to support Captain Jack. It is agreed to rest up and Book will research what can be done to release Captain Jack.
In the tower of Dark Sorcery…. there are no obvious climb into Leomonda Tiny Hut for a long rest.
Book studies the orb and discovers it has a defence which challenges the holder, if you fail it consumes the soul of the holder.
Book realises there are a number of souls already in there which is a pocket dimension. In order to get Captain Jack someone must go in and rescue him.
There are a number of physical and mental threats inside. Although all the dragons which were previously under control of the orb are now free and are winging their way to the Black Sorcerers tower
Book is the conduit and the only way in and out. Book beams us in, in an explosion of light and sound and we appear in a delve of a valley between 2 cliff faces.
This the location to which you start and finish.
In front is 15 foot obelisk and an open area surrounded by cliffs, there are 2 entrances. As we wander around the obelisk, on the top of the cliff area there are three stone shapes staring at us.
The obelisk is overrun with vegetation and we find a carving of
The east hole appears as a six foot high alcove which. The front entrance is 20 feet wide and high and has big blocks and proper stone work. There are two objects just inside the door. When the vines are cleared a high elf with a sword and a bow but no armour. The other character is green and yellow eyes and in plate mail armour, which has seen better days. On the belt is a long sword which looks out of place and grand for the character and a two handed sword, large shield. A half orc.
The elf steps back and a ward of blades appears and other magics engulf him. The elf’s name is finrod and the half orc is hashtag.
It turns out they have been here 300 yrs ago. Looking for the dragon orb, finding it in the depth of the sorcery tower. The friends dies further down. There is a trap down the tunnel.
This tunnel ends at a slab of worked stones and a star crossed set of slabs. There is a cube shaped cavity and four lines.
Inside the tunnel entrance changes to worked stone and a tiled floor. On inspecting the above just inside the tunnel is a strip, which suggests the whole tunnel is a trap. Pulling out of the trap tunnel Jerome heads over to the other tunnel which is slightly overgrown. It is five foot wide only. Alcoves run down the sides of the tunnel. The first 2 have statues of dragons and it looks to all of them. In the bowls is a liquid which lights up as people come closer.

Moa and the dragon is a gold one, opposite is Wong and the dragon is red. There are at least. The bowls liquid
The next dragon is Lyn and the statue is white and the other one if Oba and the statue is blue
At the next statues are papa which is green and opposite is Cuba which is copper.
Lastly is Shar is silver on the left and in the right is Nang which is black.
At the end of the corridor is an end panel which looks like it moves. Hashtag moves the door and in the darkness there is a sparkling purple dragon which is ether
The label is Unk. In the room there is beside it a crevice is a pendent shaped like and eye. Fi Ron picks up the Pendent and examines it, a fine piece with a stylised eye. There also appears to be something in Unks bowl of flame. We go back and find all the cubes in the dragon.
Walking out of the cave Finron feels the pendent buzzing, pulls it out and points west, pulling the party past the obelisk, through the scrub, getting thicker and thicker. Pulling aside some heavy undergrowth. Stone skulls peer down and old bones litter the lintel. There are boot marks and tracks.
A slab of worked stone block the tunnel and a wall with 9 cube shaped holes in it.
The purple dragon is a Void/astral dragon, which are neutral. The dragon cubes are put in correctly and the door opens.
Growling like an angry beast the door opens to reveal a door a graven stone skull leers down from above.
Arya braces the sliding door and nothing obvious is found. However it appears that the floor will collapse if the lever or something else is pulled.
Mage hand triggers and hand with a timer comes out and does a count down. The door opens at the far end of the corridor.
Jerome is roped up and heads down the corridor and gets through. A moss covered corridor with tree roots hang down. A demons face with an open mouth of utter darkness.
Looking at the floor tiles there is a disparity of the tiles, which appear to stand out from the others.
Arya heads down the corridor avoiding the unnaturally coloured tiles. As she gets closer the darkness is unnatural coming from the demons mouth.
To the right is a small bannister and another tee junction. The other way is a rusty metal grate big enough to climb through. At the end of this corridor is a big crystal window looking over another way.
Arya heads down to the right to peer into a grand chamber which winds around the wall to connect four archways.
Other balcony levels can be seen below, to the north a stone staircase winds down. Peering down through the grate are semi rusted bars and a sludgy muddy river running underneath.
Peering through the Crystalline window, a stone sarcophagus rest on a Dias and statues of bears, holding a large bronze disc bearing 12 eyes. six dedicated corpses with masks on. The eyes appear to be moving and flicking backwards and forwards.
Finron casts dispel magic on the unnatural darkness and dispels the magic, something comes charging out of the mouth.
The demon goes incorporeal and comes out to attack the wizard, it misses. finrod draws his sword and tries to strike it and then steps back as Jerome’s arrows fly deftly past the high elf,s head, killing it. In the cavity behind the mouth is empty.
Peering through the crystal window is the disc of eyes. finrod notices a shroud on the sarcophagus, casts mage hand and drops the shroud over the disc of eyes. It then goes and collects a mask for each of the heroes and puts them to the side. Finrod casts passwall and the heroes put the masks and enter the room.
The room is 30 feet square with a sarcophagus in the middle. Around the outside of the room is debris. Looking around. There are north and south alcoves which are sliding stone walls.
The bodies are inanimate wights, which Arya chops up into little pieces.
Hashtag pulls the sarcophagus off smoothly, inside is lots of desiccated bone, with a dragons skull on the top. Jerome spots a gold ring and picks it up.
He touches the ring the dust resolves into the shape of a small dragon and tries to dominate Jerome. A voice inside his head says he is Oban. I offer you power over magic, I wish to travel with you… I can provide you with increased magical knowledge and artefacts. I offer you great knowledge and wisdom. Jerome accepts the dragon spirits offer.
Finron finds a potential trap in the south door, but the north one doesn’t have it. We shelter in the north door and trigger the south door trap, which causes a sheet of flame to explode into the room. Looking down through the door we see steps heading down the steps. The steps head down from the dressed stone down to a cavern. Heading down to the bottom looking around we see nothing but after a while a smell of gas is started to be noticed. It is suspected that this is what the explosion was caused by.
Heading through the north door, we use mage hand to open the door and smoothly slides back to reveal a very long corridor. At the end is some form of statue.
There appears to be a slightly hidden door 10 up on the right. Hashtag steps through the threshold, it look like there is a wider opening further up the corridor. Hashtag opens the door to find stairs going down. Standing at the top of the stairwell there is pressure from Arya and Hashtag to go back towards the fountain.
Finron moves quietly down the corridor with a rope around him, peering around. The corner he sees a rusting statue of a knight with lots or metal pulled to it, the arrow has al ready corroded a lot.
The fountain is in the middle of a circular room which has three humanoid figures standing in the fountain, draped in moss.
The stairs appear to have had someone going brought here, booted steps. Heading down the steps a light starts to emanate from a large room, there is the sound of clinking, Jerome and Finrod sneak down to look into the room. Which is full of stuff. On the north wall is a Dias, iron maidens, steam tubes and a number of gnomes…pale skinned gnomes, wearing demon masks. Jerome counts at least three.
The heroes decide to try and and fake it out.
The Dias is made of many iron maidens and have vats of stuff feeding into this contraption. The moment we enter the room the iron contraption opens and a hiss of steam. Finrod calls out who is in charge here. Thing happens and then they go for their weapons.
Jerome kills the first one and out of the steam steps a monstrous zombie like monstrousity. There heroes turn their firepower onto the creature. Arya steps up and chops the golem to bits, the zombie gnomes flee.
Finrod captures the last escaping zombie gnome in Otiluke sphere, it to no avail is there any reaction. It is dispatched. A defect magic spell reveals that the helms of the zombies and golem were controlling helms. A lantern also glows with a green flame… within it there is a cloud of light…. Finrod suspects this might be the fabled ghost lantern.
